First Steps

Belonging to St. Matthew’s

People come into contact with St. Matthew’s & St. Oswald's in various ways and start attending for a variety of reasons. First Steps is a Welcome Evening offered to everyone who is new to the church.  It is a basic introduction to what it means to be part of St. Matthew's & St. Oswald's - what we stand for and where we are going.  It provides an opportunity, as appropriate, for you to make a commitment to Christ and to membership of St. Matthew's & St. OSwald's.

The evening is run by the Vicar and his wife, Martin and Jackie Saxby, to enable you to get to know them as you become part of the church.  First Steps helps fulfil our purpose of bringing people to the point where they belong together in the Community of St. Matthew’s & St. Oswald's.
