Uniformed Groups
We have Beavers, Cubs & Scouts for boys and Brownies & Guides for girls meeting midweek in the Dixon Hall in Vicarage Road.
If you are aged between five and fifteen and enjoy playing games, making friends, learning new things and having fun, then the St Matthew’s Uniform Groups are for you. We have Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who meet weekly to do all of those things and more!
Our young people do outdoor activities, learn crafts, play sports, earn badges for their achievements and, as a church-sponsored group, learn about God in a fun and friendly setting. As well as the weekly meetings, there are lots of weekend and holiday activities too, such as Fun Days, camping and cooking competitions and local visits.
Lots of our young people join us as young Beavers or Brownies and stay with us for many years, but children are welcome to join at any stage. Please contact one of the leaders to find out more.
