Worship
Worship is central to all we do at St. Matthew's. In our services we focus on God in giving him our worship. We also see our services as very important means by which people can come to learn more about God and experience his power in their lives. We have a variety of services in which we help people relate to God in different ways. Our main service is at 10.30am on Sunday. A traditional service is provided at 4.30pm.

SUNDAYS at 10.30am Our morning services are very lively with lots of people of different ages. We provide a crèche and children's groups with up to 80 children involved. Children normally leave for their own groups after about fifteen minutes of the service. For further details of groups see Children & Young People.
The services have an informal feel to them and the music is provided by our contemporary Worship Teams of instrumentalists and singers including keyboards, guitars, etc.
On the second and fourth Sundays of the month we normally have a service of Holy Communion.
On the first Sunday of the month we have a Family Service. The children stay in for the whole service which lasts no more than one hour. The service is designed for all ages, with lots of action and variety.
SUNDAYS at 4.30pm These services are traditional in style for those of our members who particularly value this form of worship.
Prayer and the Ministry of Healing After most 10.30am services there is an opportunity for people to receive prayer for healing and laying on of hands from members of our Prayer Ministry Team. Various prayer initiatives and activities are encouraged, for further information see Prayer.
