Fri 30 Nov - We Win!
This is my favourite, the best song I have ever heard – it is simple short and so amazing!! My friends think I am a bit crazy for getting so excited about it – and maybe you will too, but I don’t mind!
“Because we’ve already won And You don’t have a chance Yeah we’ve already won No you don’t have a chance It’s already done And you don’t have a chance Because we’ve already won! We have already won!”
How cool is that – obviously it isn’t song to Jesus, it is praise that declares the truth – and also a statement to the devil and the powers of darkness, the idea of which I think it amazing.
The first verse, “we’re gonna shout loud until the walls come down”, I am reminded of Joshua and the walls of Jericho, but also metaphorically how cool is it to think that we will keep shouting, living and praising for Jesus until the end of days when he comes in glory!!
The chorus is the best though – because we have won, and it is already done!!
There is no more for Satan, nothing left for him to say – when we realise the power we know we have in Jesus, he trembles. There are many ways of expressing what it is saying to the devil, but the song says it – simply and amazingly!!

God works through songs, and I hope that these have done something to being you closer to him
