Tues 27 Nov - The Glory Of It All
I have realised that choosing only 5 songs is becoming quite difficult, but on we go – today is a song by David Crowder, his band, rather originally, is called “David Crowder Band” (artistically missing the definite article).
The song is called “the glory of it all” and I have it loud in my house…a lot!!
All the lines are amazing, but to choose a few:
“Oh the glory of it all is he came near, For the rescue of us all that we may live” “Everything must change, Things will never be the same”
It is the glory of it all, everything, everything – the glory – it is hard to express in words, but David has kinda done it – things will never be the same because of Jesus, this is so glorious!!
I love it, can you tell? – I love singing it loud, it reminds me that nothing else matters – that even though the bible has become quite academic for me, whatever it is for you, Jesus came to earth and died – that is all that matters!!
I realise that I waffled then and maybe that hasn’t made sense – but this song helps me get close to God, and lift him high and realise how big what happened on Calvary was.
