Monday 26 Nov - Sweetly Broken
I love songs. I hear lots of people say the old ones are the best, and indeed as many of you will know, I don’t like all new songs – but some are so amazing.
This week I am going to just pick a song each day I like and just let hear it, think about it and process the words throughout the day – hopefully experiencing more of God and drawing nearer to him.
Today is a song by a guy called Jeremy Riddle, we sang it at New Wine in the ‘young person’ tent – and although I wanted to pick all songs you wouldn’t know, this one is really cool!!
“At the cross You beckon me You draw me gently to my knees, and I am Lost for words, so lost in love, I’m sweetly broken, wholly surrendered”
It is simple, but beautiful, when we go to the cross we should be broken and on our knees – does that happen much? Do we find ourselves flat out before Jesus in awe of the cross, broken and surrendered to the power?
There not a lot more to say, listen to this one as well – and see how Jesus speaks to you.
