The Most Important Person on Earth – Wed 18th Apr
I recently listened to Dr. Myles Munroe (from the Bahamas) teaching from his book entitled “The Most Important Person on Earth” about the Kingdom of Heaven and what he said was most profound. It changed my mindset from being religious to a true believer.
He said any kingdom is a place where a king exercises his authority, dominion and culture, and a colony is established by the king to replicate what he does in his kingdom. This he said is the same as the Kingdom of Heaven. The king appoints a Governor to bring the king’s morals, power and authority to the colony. So it is with God when he created the first Adam and put him on earth and then sent the second Adam and now the Holy Spirit who is the Most Important Person on earth today.
A governor lives in a house built by the government where he comes from. Hence our bodies are God’s temples specially built by Him in order for His Governor to live - they should be kept clean. The king does not have to be in the colony in order to exercise his dominion or for his influence to be felt. This is achieved through the Governor who brings home culture, food, songs and everything else needed hence why Jesus said seek the Kingdom first (become a citizen of Heaven first) and then everything else will be added unto you. In other words, in a colony citizens are as rich as the place they come from rather than the place where they live, and the quality of life of citizens reflects on the glory and splendour of the king.
So if I need know that – My God shall supply all your needs through His GLORIOUS RICHES IN Jesus Christ. If you are sick – He has promised that I will heal you and Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. This will be done because there is no sickness in the Kingdom of Heaven.
What Dr. Myles is saying is true because I come from a poor country like him and in the capital city of my country of origin, there are Embassies and High Commissions of rich countries of the North. And there is a vast difference between, the beautiful buildings, language spoken, the lush green lawn - even during a period of drought, the cars driven in and out of the Embassy premises and so forth. Although these citizens from the North walk day by day in the capital city, they never bear local passports and it is in the envy of locals to work for example for the British High Commission.
So brothers and sisters in Christ - cheer up, you are citizens of Heaven on earth. You are ambassadors in Christ and your supplies come from Heaven. You don’t speak the local language but in tongues – the Heavenly language. You are not scared by what the world fears because He who dwells in the secret place of the Most high God shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Be blessed and look out for Dr. Myles book. |
