“He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 KJV
For the three years I lived in Rainsbrook Avenue, every summer season the Lord spoke to me in a profound way through a certain flower. It was always the last to get into bloom, but when it did, praise God it was the most gorgeous plant in the garden! The Lord also showed me something even more interesting. Even though it was the same season and same growing conditions, not every plant of the same species let alone a bud on the same plant came to bloom at the same time.
He said to me son, do you see what is happening? At the start of the season, could you predict the exact day and hour this plant will blossom? Do you always know what is happening inside the plant everyday? Are you the one who makes the rain fall? Could you protect the plant, if I chose to bring snow and a cold blizzard to destroy the plant during the night. Could you stop me by worrying?
He says this is what happens when I give you a promise and a season. You will not always understand what I am doing for I have called you to walk by faith.
Hear the word of the Lord beloved brethren, if your prayers have not yet come to pass, the Lord says:
- There is a time for every thing
- A time to mourn and a time to dance
- There is seed time and harvest time
- He also says, although there is a cloudy and sunny day, the sun will always be shining brightly above the clouds, on a cloudy day!
Today, the Lord says, why don’t you pray and soar a little higher above the clouds? I know you may be tired and frustrated but he is not angry with you. Remember, even Jesus at some stage cried “My Lord my Lord why have you forsaken me?” Do not despair, he will bring your beautiful “Isaac” to birth, but in his own time. Who knows it could be tomorrow!
