“I tell you the truth, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.” Mark 14:9 NIV
Today the Spirit of the Lord instructs me to bring the message that he answers prayer, closer to home.
Just in case the devil has been wrestling with your faith after reading the devotionals of the past two days, cheer up for the Lord tells me, say it aloud and again that every promise I have given to my children shall come to pass!
I am sure we have all read about the woman who was given the promise in Mark14:9 after she broke the alabaster jar with very expensive perfume and poured it on the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Spirit of the Lord says to my spirit, ask my people these questions in order to renew their faith:
· What day is it today in the year of our Lord 2006?
· Is the woman still alive?
· Was her act of faith not told first to the disciples and those around the supping table that very day?
· How about now, is the Lord not telling the woman’s story to you as you read this devotional here in Rugby, how about believers who may have heard a sermon on the woman’s act of faith last Sunday in Canada, Japan, USA, Brazil, Zimbabwe and Australia?
To those who may be wondering when their prayers will be answered, the Lord says your acts of faith will not go unrewarded. Keep standing on the promise which will not be revoked but shall endure forever. Keep on claiming it and reading the word for faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of the Lord! |
