Joshua 6:26 “….At the cost of his firstborn son will he lay its foundation, at the cost of his youngest will he set up its gates” NIV
Today the Spirit of the Lord says to my spirit, tell my people I am a faithful promise keeper. Every word spoken out of mouth and over their situation shall certainly come to pass, if they do not doubt.
Today’s word from Joshua 6:26 was spoken soon after the all too familiar miraculous destruction of the city of Jericho by the Israelites. We know the rest of the story, but God has specially concealed and reserved this fresh word to minister to your circumstance today.
The Lord tells me show my people that many years and generations went by including Joshua’s life time, the period of Judges and Samson, Ruth, Samuel the prophet and king David and nothing came to pass.
However, one day “in Ahab’s time, Hiel of Bethel rebuilt Jericho. (And) he laid its foundations at the cost of his firstborn son Abiram, and he set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, in accordance with the word of the Lord spoken by Joshua son of Nun.”1 Kings 16:34, NIV.1 Kings 16:34, NIV.
As I sit in my prayer closet meditating upon the word and asking the Father what to write, he says tell my people not to despair over their situation even if nothing appears to be happening. Tell them, take heed I am about to do something in their days and the answer will not only come but also I will be right on time and specific to their need! |
