God in Nature - 9 March 2010

We can find God in nature and our experience of Him in the natural world, the sunrise, the sunset, the emergence of spring.  This experience is widespread and strong.

It is God, said Jesus, who clothes the grass of the field and the lilies as they grow, and it is He who feeds the birds of the air (Matthew 6).  So we see God in nature in the beauty and splendour of the natural world.

God is within the world, and this discovery of God in ourselves and in all things means sensing the presence of the mystery of God which invokes in us wonder, love and awe.

So in the wonder of our world, the solar system, the universe let us experience the mystery of God, let us sit today in the wonder and awe of a God that surrounds us.
