Homeless and hungry - 23 February 2010
The homeless and hungry cry out against us.
“For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.” Matthew 25: 42-43 [NIV]

was already the poorest country in the before the recent earthquake struck, with 80% of the population living below the poverty line. I don’t know about you, but I had no idea until I saw the news reports.
is only one of many desperately poor countries. The first Millennium Development Goal is to halve the proportion of people globally living on less than a US dollar a day by 2015. You can get involved by lobbying the government. Have a look at The Micah Challenge.
