Peace – 15 December 2009

So, going with the holiday snap theme, here is my second photo for you to look at and think about:

Peace

How peaceful does this look?  Personally I am proud of this photo; somehow it looks as good in the picture as it did in real life – that hardly ever happens.

This photo was taken when we were in a place called West Port, in which there is nothing to do which does not involve driving too far, or falling off something.  Neither Gail nor I are into any of those things.  We heard there was a beach, so we went for a walk.  I thought it would be romantic, strolling along a beach while the sun set.  But in fact it was less than amazing.  There were loads of weird people around, for which we later found out West Port is known for, and when the sun finally set it got cold.
(It was winter in New Zealand and it seems without the sun you need a bigger jumper!)

All I want to say today is; don’t miss the beauty. It is all around you, so don’t get distracted by other things, especially the weather or your company.  The world is too beautiful to rush through with your eyes closed!
