Sunset – 14 December 2009

This week I want to look at some pictures.  I was on holiday a few months ago in New Zealand and I want to share the beauty with you.  This is not to make you jealous, although that may happen, but to look at some of the greatness God has created!

This is not just going to be an “art week” though, I have a little thought to go with each picture.

Here is the first picture:

This is a sunset, a beautiful sunset.  I was on the coast near Lake Mahinapua with my girlfriend Gail, and a group of people we met on a bus tour.  The other people were a bit crazy, and none of them were Christians, but we sat for ages watching the colours change in the sky.  It is amazing that everyone can enjoy a sunset, even when we could see rain coming in we all stayed there.  Can you not see how easily you could talk to your non-Christian friends about God?  When you see something beautiful, and they notice it too, point out who made it.  It is easy.

I have to say that this night in New Zealand I didn’t point it out, and how I wish I had.

I wish I did it more.
