Keep on encouraging – 6 July 2009

During the past 2 weeks I have been visiting the mission project we support at Casa Reom in Beira Mozambique and I have asked some of the team (one each day) to share with us verses that are special to them and how they apply to their lives.  Today, we start with Pastor Bonga who is the leader of Casa Reom, a ministry of YWAM in Beira.

As well as leading the project, Pastor Bonga is the leader of the International Body of Christ Church in Mozambique, many churches have been planted and the church continues to spread into new areas of and beyond.

Pastor Bonga is responsible for the Casa Reom orphanages at Inhamizua (currently with 82 boys) and Dondo (35 girls and boys).

“I am Pastor Bonga, here in Mozambique, I work with the children, the orphaned children. As we know from the bible, you in England and we here in Mozambique, we are united.  The verse I would like to share comes from the book of Hebrews:

We should keep on encouraging each other to be thoughtful and to do helpful things. Hebrews 10: 24 [CEV]

We need to unite together and we need to lift our lives, to lift our souls, so that the souls in England and Mozambique should be together so that we help the children.

We know that these children, in the future, some of the boys will be engineers, some doctors, others missionaries Pastors, evangelists – they have many, many skills – each and every boy has a skill to do here on earth so we ask all of us to have the same spirit  so that we work together.

I greet you – thank you very much indeed

Yours, in love, Pastor Bonga”
