Living, moving and existing – 24 June 2009

As someone has said:

'In him we live and move and exist.'
As some of your own poets have also said,
'We are his children.'
Acts 17:28 [NIRV]

We do not actually see God with our naked eyes but we have faith that helps us to trust the word of God and believe it. The passage above confirms that nobody can move alone without the Lord guiding you.

I remember the story of Jonah - that God sent him to go to the city of Nineveh to preach the word of God to the people.  Jonah didn’t want to go and on his way he runs away from God.  Do you know that Jonah ended up by being swallowed by a fish where he stayed for three days?  In the end he came out from the stomach of the fish and he was spat out in the same city where he didn’t want to go.  Finally, Jonah began to preach to the nation of Nineveh and God was backing him.

One day God had planted a tree to help to provide shade for Jonah.  All this to show that God is taking care of all of us.  Whatever we do we are not alone, the Lord is seeing our living, our moving and our existing.  The reason we need to thank, praise and worship Him.

Christians ought to walk the right way to please the Lord.  Christians ought to show the light to the world.  Christians ought to take care of the world where we live in and to win people to Christ.
