Christianity…brings riches beyond measure - 13 March 2009
One of the things that has me constantly amazed about the Christian faith is the blessings that God wants to pour out on us. This is not a reluctant bit of giving what He can get away with, but giving all that He can, and he has deep pockets.
God delights in blessing us in every way. We have been looking this week at the statement “Christianity is” and some of the myths and difficulties that go with that. But, (and this overcomes all that has gone before as far as I am concerned), the fact is that God wants to give us riches beyond measure. And we have eternity in which to enjoy them.
Heaven isn’t going to be a place for being halfhearted but it is a place where we are rewarded for the struggles and difficult times we go through here on earth. Jesus’ life is a perfect example of that. Short though it was, it encompassed all the points we have talked about this week.
As we approach the weekend – can I thank you for sticking with a set of topics that in certain areas may well have raised issues, but I would like to think we draw to a close this week with an understanding of what the benefits are – and why we do this, because this is about eternity and all that comes with it.
Have a great weekend. |
