Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2a
Being in anguish, Jesus prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling on the ground. Luke 22: 44
Today, Lord Jesus, I give you my mind.
How I thank you for my mind – a wonderful yet delicate piece of kit.
Thank you that I can think and reason
Thank you that I can imagine and dream
Thank you that I can understand, process and recall information
Thank you that I can make decisions
Today I give you all the tasks that I have to perform.
I give you all the problems I need to solve.
I give you all the difficult issues (and people!) I’ll have to contend with.
I remember, Jesus, that your mind was tested much more than I can understand.
I remember, Jesus, that you endured mental anguish of a hideous kind.
Thank you that you stood firm when the weight of hell was upon you.
Thank you that you stood in my place so that my mind could be redeemed.
Today, Lord Jesus, I give you my mind.
