Be less English & see God more – 6 May 2008
My friend Jon had this idea to set up a website called ‘Pray it Forward’ – check it out for more info! http://www.prayitforward.org.uk
But on a Facebook group I set up to tell people about the above website someone started a discussion about how prayer does not work.
Firstly this made me sad, but after a really long discussion it turned out that the reason he did not think it worked was because for him there was no evidence.
It seems that, even though people in the church do get healed, helped, guided etc, we don’t tell anyone.
Why ever not? Tell everyone! – we English are too reserved (hence the day’s title).
If God has done something amazing with you - share it. If you know he has done something amazing with someone else – tell everyone you know.
The message needs to be spread…otherwise people won’t know.
Do it now – text, email, phone, letters, fax, shout, whisper, sing – whatever it takes share what God is doing, big or small!
